Kuwohi (formerly Clingmans Dome), located in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, is the highest point in Tennessee at 6,643 feet. A steep, paved 0.5-mile trail leads to a 45-foot observation tower offering 360-degree views. The site is open year-round, though the access road is closed Dec-Mar. The area is known for its cool, windy, and often foggy weather.
